          Weight Gain

          I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, which made it difficult to swallow. I was diagnosed with lung cancer and they are looking at my thyroid now for a nodule there. with all my swallowing difficulties, I have lost 25 pounds, but with my Boost high calorie, I have managed to put on 4 pounds. I have a lot more weight to gain and a lot more Boost to purchase, but so far, I am happy with the results. The worst part of all of my illnesses is when my only child called me to say mom, the PD is very bad and I need to spend time with you while we have the opportunity. I got to his apartment only to find that he passed away from a stroke at his front door, most likely trying to get help. He would be happy that I am finally putting some weight back on my usually muscular frame.
